Samsung Galaxy S23

When it’s released early next year, the Samsung Galaxy S23  could be the most powerful phone. According to 91mobiles.com, Samsung’s next flagship (read: flat phone) will employ the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 CPU.  Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 recently begun delivering on premium phones like the OnePlus 10T. Qualcomm is likely to disclose its next-generation smartphone chipset later this year, but a November or December announcement wouldn’t allow manufacturers time to use the technology for the December holiday sales season.  History suggests that Samsung will debut the Galaxy S23 in February 2023.  This is the best time to launch a new chip. Samsung may be rewarded for using Snapdragon 8 Gen2 first.  Recent news claims Samsung would use Qualcomm’s CPUs in the next couple generations of Galaxy S phones, instead of its own Samsung Exynos chipset. Every Galaxy S23 sold globally will presumably have the same chip, delivering Qualcomm a significant gain if it’s Snapdragon 8 Gen2.
