Everything you need to know about the world’s largest tech expo. IFA 2022 will be held in Berlin, Germany, from September 2-6. Due to Covid-19, last year’s event was cancelled and participation was limited. IFA 2022 will be an in-person event, which will please everybody who wants to see what the world’s greatest firms are working on. LG, Samsung, Lenovo, Huawei, and others should make huge announcements. Sony is missing this year. We don’t know its plans, but considering how dominating it is in TV, audio, and entertainment, it’s odd that it wouldn’t be at this year’s IFA. We’ve contacted Sony to figure out its plans; read one to learn who’s attending and what they’re showcasing. When the show opens on September 2, we’ll bring you the latest news, releases, and hands-on reviews. IFA? Most of the industry’s key companies attend Europe’s biggest technology event in Berlin every September. 2022 IFA? This year’s IFA will be the first in-person event since 2019. Brands? LG, Samsung, Huawei, Lenovo, and Asus will be there. Sony and Apple never attend IFA, preferring to organise their own shows. Samsung is a significant electronics company with many products. Samsung normally saves its biggest announcements, notably for smartphones, for its ‘Unpacked’ events, although it shows showcases TVs, audio, and home appliances during IFA. Therefore Samsung will be at IFA 2022 despite skipping last year’s event to host ‘Life Unstoppable’ We don’t know much about what Samsung will announce this year, but speculations suggest new SmartThings products, Samsung’s IoT platform for smart fridges, washing machines, and more. Samsung may release micro-LED TVs and computer accessories. LG has a significant presence at IFA, and while it no longer shows off smartphones, it has a wide selection of items to show off this year.
